About me

I finished the master Design for Interaction at the TU Delft in september 2020. My graduation project was about daily family routines after Corona times. I made a short documentary about my project, using content made by the families themselves: https://youtu.be/DjDIowkHeQc

THE PROJECT & PROCESS

Project of the master design for interaction

Using an explorative process with six families, research was conducted over six months into what families could learn from this quarantine time. Remote Context Mapping, a Corona-proof co-creation session, Zoom-interviews and iterative prototype tests ultimately led to the PIN Light, a lamp which incorporates the lesson learned by the families. PUBLICATION

Publication of my graduation research

One year after the project a paper is published at the Interaction Design and Architecture(s) Journal - IxD&A, N.50, 2021: Remote contextmapping and prototyping during lockdown, a study case. I wrote this together with Froukje Sleeswijk Visser en Jeroen van Erp. Read more…

The following project are partly from my bachelor Product Design Engeneering and projects of my master Design for Interaction at the TU Delft.

HÄNGLA

Project of the master design for interaction

This project was part of the course Exploring Interactions. The project was an individual project of 20 weeks. During this project I used Context Mapping, exploring interactions methods and a lot of prototyping to come up with the idea of the HÄNGLA.

THERMO TOMMY

Bachelor Final Project

Thermo Tommy was the end result of my Bachelor’s final project at the TU Delft. The project was done for the company Invented4Kids. Invented4Kids is an innovative company within the baby and children product market. During this project I got in thouch with Human-centred design for the first time.

DESIGN IN WOOD

Minor abroad at the ntnu Norway

During my Bachelor’s at the TU Delft I went to Norway for my Minor. I did multiple design courses at the NTNU. One of them was Design in Wood. During this course I learned a lot about more practical skills and woodworking. Afterwards I realise how valuable it is to have these skills.

HABA HABA

Minor abroad at the ntnu norway

This project was an individual project during my minor in Norway at the NTNU. The goal of this project was to design opportunities for Haba Haba to develop their product portfolio. Haba Haba is a fair trade fashion brand located in the Netherlands and Kenia. The products are inspired by the African culture.

During my bachelor Industrial Design I did multiple projects focused on User Interface design. In this part, two projects about user interface design are described. Both projects were group projects. With both of the project I made the visual designs in Photoshop and Illustrator. The protypes were made in Axure.

Clean Way

Bachelor project of Interaction & Electronics

This project was focused on the input elements (buttons, dials, switches etc.) and output elements (displays, speakers, LED’s, etc), which are coupled through electronics. The prototypes were made by using Axure for the input and Arduino for the output.

Design Driven Innovation

Bachelor Project using VIP

This project I did four years ago during my Bachelor. During this project I discovered a new direction of design; Developing a design strategy by focusing on the context by using the Vision in Product design method.

My whole life is about creating things. When I’m working on one thing, I’m already busy in my head about how I can develop all the other ideas in my head. At the moment I’m working on starting my own jewelry brand. This project is still work in progress, but the first steps are made. The following pictures will give a short overview in what kind of things I made; drawings, sketches, screenprints, photos, bodypaints, necklaces, rings, earrings or just random forms I love.
